People really don't watch the Spurs. It seems like they are just now discovering DeMar Derozan when he has been doing most of these things for 2 years lol
The Spurs have a lottery pick in the upcoming draft, a ton of cap space, some good NBA players on great deals, some solid and decently promising young guys, they own all their picks and have tons of possibilities going forward.
They are in a good place
Made a little video with Stanley Johnson's made field goals, assists and block from yesterday game against the Rockets
He finished with 10 points (4/6 fg, 2/3 3p), 3 rebounds 3 assists and a block in 19 minutes and looked like a perfect fit with the roster
Loved that signing
In the Sochan's big night, Dominic Barlow had a career-high game that went a bit undiscussed
He finished with 32 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks in a loss against the RGV Vipers
Let's THREAD some thoughts and possessions 🧵
A little thread on DIRK NOWITZKI PICK&ROLL BALL HANDLER from game 6 vs Suns of the 2005 playoffs
The Mavs ran multiple times this Nowitzki-Dampier p&r in a short time span, certainly a creative and modern way to use the German big man
That move probably had various goals:
1/5
That Spurs """"fan"""" would boo Forbes for what? For beeing a professional basketball player doing his work, an NBA champion, someone that understood the concept of Spurs culture and feels at home in San Antonio?
You are a loser, boo that L(+ratio)

That's pretty much the Spurs roster for the Summer League. We'll see who will be back among Wieskamp, Cacok, Woodard, Stewart
Played only 11 games in 19/20
Had 3 left ankle surgeries and missed the whole 20/21 season
Signed with the San Antonio Spurs
Went in GLeague to regain confidence and rythm
He's averaging 11-6-3. 16-8-4 since the deadline

is out: a deep dive into Jock Landale's path and skillset. How the Aussie big redefined is game through the years, his shooting, the Aussie grit and more
McDermott is an underrated part of the recent success of the Spurs. He's just an amazing off the ball player that helps so much the spacing and makes things easier while touching the ball less than 30 times per game.
Great signinig, that is what they needed

"Notes on EJ Onu" is out.
NAIA All-American and Champion EJ Onu is an outstanding shot blocker that shot 40% from three.
Shawnee State's big man will test the draft waters while being in the transfer portal. Will he find his path to the NBA?
That's right Wendell Carter Jr, fake the pass and take the three with confidence.
After attempting 51 threes last season, I expect to see him more confident in his shot this season. 2+ 3pa per game are a concrete possibility
Luka Samanic's stats in the restricted area:
19/20 GLeague=98/168, 58.3%
20/21 GLeague=27/43, 62.8%
20/21 NBA=20/31, 64.5
Inconsistent finishing was one of his main flaws as a rookie cause of bad balance and poor physicality, slowly growing into an acceptable rim finisher now
It's time! This is my Final Board for the 2020 NBA Draft.
It was a long journey and I improved and learned a lot during these months. I hope the 2021 class will be easier to evaluate tho.
I'll attach some notes below ⬇️
Cedi Osman is an active, smart off ball player endowed with good timing
The Turkish forward was in the 91.7%ile on cuts last season
I analyzed in depth his potential fit with the San Antonio Spurs in this brief clip
Enjoy and sound on (to hear the cowbells) 🔊

: the 2nd episode of the Spurs Draft Guide is out!
Discussing John Butler, his skills, his flaws, what makes him an almost unprecedented prospect and how he would fit with the Spurs:
Nota sulle 2nd round picks come merce di scambio
Nelle ultime fasi prima dello scorso draft e in quelle appena successive, una voce rimbalzò tra le varie chat americane: le squadre avevano problemi a trovare giocatori da draftare nella seconda metà del secondo giro
Tyrese Maxey al momento ha un assist-to-turnover ratio di 7.5
60 assist e 8 palle perse
Il che è abbastanza folle per uno che veniva considerato un cattivo passatore come prospetto
Primo has been a weird eval this season because he's sooo young but also he's sooo inconsistent overall and as a ball handler/creator. And project him becomes tough.
And then he casually pulls out those wizardy plays that simply can't go unnoticed
I think Podziemski could be the kind of prospect whose upside gets generally overlooked because he's already good at basketball and doesn't jump out the gym
High-level development infrastructure, elite track record, plenty of primary creator reps and a wide arrey of role players (Wieskamp, Holman, Cacok) that will help Primo gain experience in many situations
Those that complain probably dont even know what they are talking about
Spurs' best 3pt shooters last season by %***:
Rudy Gay - 38.1%
Patty Mills - 37.5%
LaMarcus Aldridge - 36%
Lonnie Walker - 35.5%
By attempts:
Mills - 429
Walker - 282
Gay - 278
White - 243
Spurs ranked 24th in 3pt % and last in 3pt rate
Malaki Branham is currently 6th among rookies per made pull ups
Only Banchero, Ivey, AJ Griffin, Mathurin and Jabari Smith Jr made more pull ups shots than him
It shouldn't go unnoticed that Dom Barlow is younger than 10 of the first round picks, will be much young than a bunch of 2nd rounders and quietly averaged 24-8-2 in G League last season
2020 was tough for me. My university career derailed, the pandemic with a fragile person in my house, I struggled to keep in contact with some friends
I think I did a good job covering the 2020 draft and I'm proud of it tho
2021, I'm ready, I want to make it better
For reference, rookies that shot 40% on at least 150 pull ups in the last seasons:
Cam Thomas 125/282 44.3%
Haliburton 118/280 42.1%
Maxey 72/163 44.2%
Nunn 130/312 41.7%
Shai 116/274 42.3%
Bogdanovic 130/296 43.9%
Tatum 107/265 40.4%
Kennard 63/154 40.9%
It's a high standard
Quest'oggi godiamo
