I'm diving into machine learning for biology! I have some coding experience but no ML background, and my first milestone is getting up to speed with #AlphaFold2. Any tips or resources on where to begin?

Large molecule models: quantifying and understanding the language across all kingdoms of life… to generate computational tools to empower nature.
Here's my conversation with @NeriOxman, a brilliant designer, engineer, scientist, artist, and one of the most fascinating and kind-hearted human beings I've ever gotten the chance to know. This was truly an honor and a pleasure.

Urgent need for better materials for tampons!!!
A new study led by a @UCBerkeleySPH researcher found that tampons from several brands can contain toxic metals like lead, arsenic and cadmium. Future research will test how much of these metals can leach out of the tampons and be absorbed by the body.

Thank you @D_R_Goodwin and @HomeworldBio for opening my eyes to a new perspective. Why don't we refocus biotech to address human health by tackling its root cause: planetary health issues?

Thank you @D_R_Goodwin and @HomeworldBio for opening my eyes to a new perspective. Why don't we refocus biotech to address human health by tackling its root cause: planetary health issues?
“Biotech is ideally suited to solving planetary-scale challenges because of its two extremes: It is atomically precise and infinitely scalable. But there are several reasons that biology is not yet harnessed fully to address climate change.” @D_R_Goodwin writes about key challenges stopping the biotech community from solving the most important problems of our time. Read about it on our blog:
