Update on the Raven Den Fire in Wears Valley as of 1415. The fire is approximately 60 acres in size with zero percent containment at this time. Mountain winds are expected to be 25-45 mph with gusts over 80 mph expected throughout the evening.

Pine Mtn Fire Final Update: 2/18 Crews have continued to monitor the Pine Mtn overnight. Personnel report that the Fire is 100% contained. The TN Div of Forestry along with Pigeons Forge FD and Walden’s Creek VFD addressing a few hot spots inside the containment area.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for Sevier County. If a Tornado Warning is issued remember to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows and cover your head to protect yourself from flying debris.

Due to inclement weather/frigid temperatures impacting the area, a Warming Center will open today at 8 PM at Sevierville First United Methodist Church (214 Cedar Street, Sevierville, TN).

The Tennessee Division of Forestry has issued a HIGH Fire Danger warning for East Tennessee today, Monday, March 25th, 2024. Due to this, no burn permits will be issued within Sevier County.

The burn ban will remain in effect for the rest of Monday and Tuesday due to high winds in parts of Sevier County. City and County officials met today to review current conditions and forecasts and expect to lift the burn ban on Wednesday, November 29th.
