Well, that’s 25 years! 16th Nov 1998, a quarter of a century ago today, I caught the train to York and signed on as a trainee passenger guard. Foot in the door, I soon stepped up on to the footplate, and have never looked back. I’ve enjoyed every minute, and still do!
