Here's @ben_r_babcock celebrating after his fantastic defense!
He is now Dr. Babcock! Beautiful PhD defense (under heavy snow) Ben presented his surprising findings on the seemingly protective role of nasal autoantibodies in COVID19. And his work developing multi-omic scRNAseq to study human B cells! Well-deserved PhD! @GhosnLab #BYourCell

Thank you for your question! We wanted to correlate our findings to #LongCovid, but unfortunately, we didn't have enough data and patients to get a clear statistical significance. Although our data suggest that patients who go on to produce autoantibodies in the blood may have persistent symptoms, we need a larger cohort and a more rigorous symptom classification to confirm and determine whether these patients are more at risk of developing Long Covid. We will not forget this question and hope to get more answers soon!
