We have a volcanic lake in Mbala, also the site where Germans surrendered at the end of the 2nd World War and dumped their weapons. The lake has no river or stream feeding it but overflows into the Kalungwishi river. This site alone can bring thousands of tourists from Germany.

We need to break up Zesco into different units into these three units and invite private capital to invest in improving each segment (generation, transmission and distribution). Zesco operates at a loss as it costs more to produce power than it sells it to domestic consumers.

In principle, I have no major issue with investment for medicinal production. The challenge we have in Zambia is failure to guarantee proper systems to prevent uncontrolled growth and abuse. If our mukula is not safe, what more ibange? Proper control systems must come first.
