@kwilsonlee @LinkedIn I completely concur with all you say, and have been thinking a lot about this as well - it’s a huge worry as congregations dwindle, but I’m sure there are ways forward (and was gutted not to be able to make the CCT talk). I’ll email you when I have emerged from half term chaos 😬

@LizzieSwarbrick This is really sad. Is there not a Scottish equivalent to the Churches Conservation Trust? In England the most important church buildings at risk of redundancy are vested in @TheCCT - they remain consecrated, and keep the artefacts in their context which is so important.

@JonathanFoyle It’s like the carbonara’s evil twin - Odile to the carbonara’s Odette if you will (I may be overthinking this)

Not content with the Cloisters on Monday I spent 6 hours @metmuseum on Tuesday - you can never have too much medieval art 😁

@ZoeCormack Sorry to hear that Zoe - it’s must be really frustrating they didn’t even bother reading it properly, particularly when it probably took ages to get the review back 🤬

Wonderful trip to Ditchley Park on Friday c/o @AttinghamTrust - such an interesting historic house with a unique current role at the centre of international politics. These antlers apparently from deer hunted in the 17th century must be among the oldest hunting trophies around!

@johnevigar @pacoulmag I love the souls below - not so sure about the Gilbert Scottified Christ/angels, though I’m sure there are 19th c people who prefer the top half! 🤷🏻♀️

@EmilyGuerry I’m horrified to hear that - so sorry. Removing history of art and religious studies from Canterbury seems particularly ludicrous 🤷🏻♀️
