Its the Twittervangelists, as vee calls them, but in general the people who feel they get to inflict their morals and religious impositions upon everyone else, their spaces and their entertainment. Not all Christians, or religious in general, as this is not exclusively a Christian issue, want to impose on others, nor is their an issue if they create their own content. Imposing their rules and morals however on all content is a problem.

Bad parents does not mean the state gets to take over. The state is no better at parenting than the bad parents. Operating society based on the bad actors punishes law abiding citizens. As to your requirement for ID verification, entry to a bar is only verified in many places when you might be underage, no on ID's a 40 year old to see if they need to drink. Nor is it recorded and tied to your phone. The government cannot track where you use your ID. Online, there are records and tracking. If you cannot understand how easy that can be abused, I doubt me explaining it will help.

We aren't discussing maintaining the innocence of children, and that should be preserved. However, that is the responsibility of the parent, not society, to shelter your child. Your child should not be on X, nor quite frankly on an internet you haven't put parental controls on. Media being purchased and propagated into your childrens schools is not the same argument as spaces online. X is an adult platform, for adults. Children should not be on X.
