I have the theory that the Jurassic world Iguanodon is actually based on Mantellisaurus. That would explain the small thumb spike and smaller size (1/2)

Tyrannosaurus minor (Lesser tyrant lizard). While having some size inconsiscencies trhoughout the series, it is crear that Fang is meant to be a smaller (and rideable) version of real T. rex most of the time. It also exhibits some other key differences such as pronated hands.
