@gudjonheidar Ertu að tala um þetta projekt, sem samið var um í tíð fyrri ríkisstjórnar Trump? Samningurinn undirritaður af sendiherra USA og USAID sér bara um umsýslu. Væntanl hugsað sem "Soft power" stuðningur við lykilríki í Miðausturlöndum. Ekkert sem USAID ákvað.

I concur with @AmiDar - Mauritania is a poor country, much of it in the Sahara desert. It is larger than Texas and New Mexico combined, with a population of 4.3 million. (But I assume the gloating tweet is not least because the country has "Islamic" in its official name. 🙁)
“Mauritania” may sound weird and exotic and even funny to some people. But yes, it’s a country. And Mauritanians are human beings who drink water. And their country is getting drier. Helping them find water is a noble goal. Gloating at ending this project is despicable.
