@KappaFannon @EyePublicae @BrettMmurphy Point being - good deeds do not undo or justify bad deeds. I hope DOGE keeps digging into USAID. If no smoking guns are found and team DOGE go to jail for it, I feel bad for em. But if smoking guns are found, the fact they could’ve been facing jail, makes them heroes.

@klutchycsuf @kprclc @JB_DE1 @stannny71 @NewJerseyOAG Yeah, shame there is no alternative - it is either A or B, there is no C.

@Jsmitty797 @JB_DE1 @stannny71 @NewJerseyOAG I don’t disagree with your sentiment, but while I think it’s possible it involves a lot of moving pieces and hushed mouths. Not impossible just seems less likely

@klutchycsuf @kprclc @JB_DE1 @stannny71 @NewJerseyOAG For the scale/scope, seems like damage should be looked at for how it affects the country in 1, 2, 5-10 years — not damage on a personal individual level for those directly impacted. At this point, I’m not seeing anything lasting that matters or won’t move elsewhere if important

@Jsmitty797 @JB_DE1 @stannny71 @NewJerseyOAG It’s a stretch, but it could be. Seems more likely it was made from good intentions as a solution to a system/process problem, then just so happens to noticed as a way to do that and slowly starts being abused more and more.

@kprclc @JB_DE1 @stannny71 @NewJerseyOAG How is any of this damage going to make lives worse for average people or safety of our country/its future? That’s really the only metric that should have any concern. So far, I see no damage, and def nothing that couldn’t instantly be repaired.

@kprclc @JB_DE1 @stannny71 @NewJerseyOAG If claims can’t be substantiated fully yet for the public then how do you know there will be damage? If he’s right on some of these things then he is effectively stopping more damage that you were unaware of. We’re already fucked as a country - let him cook.

@JB_DE1 @stannny71 @NewJerseyOAG 10. The Reasoning is bureaucracy can logically be defended as change management (expected 1-2 month start for example I gave of implementing a good efficiency change) whereas politics cannot be defended (would’ve taken 18 months to start in my example)

@JB_DE1 @stannny71 @NewJerseyOAG 9. So my point is politics may be a bigger impedance to efficiency than bureaucracy. And it’s convoluted trying to root that out - but watching the money is definitely a way to get over target.

@JB_DE1 @stannny71 @NewJerseyOAG 8. To end of year (nearly 18 months later total)… because it is an election year and he didn’t want to risk pissing off workers who otherwise will vote for these council members who hold his job in their hands. Zero care for the job/dept itsed - 100% care for self preservation

@JB_DE1 @stannny71 @NewJerseyOAG 7. Director calls an emergency meeting because word got to him from a few workers he knew forever in that dept that this change happened already. He yells (literally) at the managers and Gets them terminated. Why? Because he wanted to wait to implement this closer (cont)

@JB_DE1 @stannny71 @NewJerseyOAG 6. The proposal for a month (understandable) only to review in a month and then delay for another 6 months. At this point it’s a new year, the managers implement their system anyhow without approval - it causes expected waves but also improves dept performance. (Cont)

@JB_DE1 @stannny71 @NewJerseyOAG 5. To bleed money and not meet bare minimum expectations from the public, at the risk of it causing waves with some older workers who will fight the rapid change because it involves tech - and change period is hard of course for many at work as is. The director tables (cont)

@JB_DE1 @stannny71 @NewJerseyOAG 4. An example of this I saw in action… protected director of a department has managers who are direct hires under them. Hires two new managers who come in with good ideas to fix a failing department. They stress the need to implement their solution asap or continue to (cont…)
