After Hillsborough in May 2022, when we blew a 4-0 first leg lead 😬 to lose the LG.1 play off semi-finals, us Poshies were told, "It was the players' fault." Most of those players have gone, whilst Ferguson remains. Throwing your players under a bus(players all signed under Ferguson's reign, btw) smacks of utter desperation from Ferguson. He can't handle pressure, is tactically inept & unfortunately has the backing of MacAnthony. It's actually beyond boring now😴 as League 2 has been looking on the cards for months. No other football club in the 92' would retain a 'manager' whose last 12 games read; P.12 W.1 D.3. L8 It's beyond ridiculous 🙄
Seems like the kind of thing a manager might say when the season’s over, everyone’s OOC and they’re pitching to lead the rebuild. I don’t doubt the truth of Darren Ferguson’s words. Yet very difficult to come back from that politically and motivate those same players.
