Following a successful total synthesis, new interdisciplinary project is going well so far! Baby Adelina joined our family this weekend and we are very in love - and very sleep deprived. ❤️

@DrNancyPadilla The funding agencies are somewhat onto this with offering supplemental funds on existing awards so you can hire help! Of course you have to have existing funding streams, so it’s not perfect!

Congrats, @edgecomb_sara! Here we explore the role electrostatics and h-bonding play in ionic liquid coatings on polymeric nanoparticles. Spoiler alert: both are important but to differing degrees depending on the chemistry of the polymer!
