People need to not dwell on tournament results. If you go 0-2, please don’t discredit yourself. This is part of competing in the FGC. Take time to reevaluate your strengths and weaknesses and work on it. Trust me, it will make a big difference. You are amazing. Don’t give up.

Someone called me out in KOF for beating me in ranked. I responded saying to watch his tone bc it is very demeaning. Instead he kept talking down to others so I played him in a FT10. I beat him 10-1 and he’s upset about it. Just be humble next time.

This is the start of what is needed for the community to heal. As a suicide survivor, falsely accusing someone to exile and attempt suicide was heartbreaking to hear. I am in support of this. I highly recommend other orgs and TOs to do the same.

One of the things I hope people can learn is that losing is part of competition. Losing does not mean you are terrible at the game, it solely means that your opponent was better that day. All I can advise is learn from your losses and make improvements here on out. Keep at it.

Tonight I went to visit my mother for the last time as she is finally moving to Peru this week. It’s a bittersweet feeling to see her leave, but I’m happy to cherish these memories for all she did for me throughout my life. Love you mom. Enjoy your life in Peru. You deserve it.

Tonight I received a call from a teenage girl wanting to end her life for being alone. For 30 minutes, I listened & acknowledged her feelings. She soon told me she was no longer in pain. “I wanted someone to listen to me & make me feel like I matter. Thanks.”. You’re welcome.

Update. My father needed to have emergency surgery to remove the kidney stones. We were advised it to prevent the risk of infection in his bloodstream as his body is battling the UTI as it is. Surgery went well and he’s resting. He’s doing better. Gotta keep praying.

Depression is very difficult. There are times I want to lay in bed and isolate myself from others. Other times I just cry and want to disappear. It’s an ongoing cycle. But I’m fighting each day with my medications and self-care along with my sobriety. I’m not going to give up.
