Some major life lessons I’ve learned in grad school: (1) self-compassion, (2) remembering I’m so much more than a future doc (I am a family member, friend, believer, writer, etc), (3) unapologetic rest is necessary (4) things never really go as planned, go with grace!

The best part about my graduate school experience was certainly my research year! As a student collaborator in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Ob-Gyn department, my thesis research focused on the impact of culture and race on doula support and the perinatal experience.
