@BaA43A3aHY Unfortunately, not all machines were marked with the new modules. - Here is a Soviet export MLD aircraft from the Lugovaya conversion regiment. N008 inside, N003E outside. - Or a Bulgarian MLD, marked N003E. Anyway, interesting topic. It's not consistent.

@BaA43A3aHY Hi! Not a wrong stencil. The N003 radar consists of 44 main blocks. Of these, only 12 modules were replaced on 23-18, while only 11 modules were replaced on 23-22.

In 1986, a Brazilian delegation arrived in China to test the Chinese F-7M Airguard type. China offered 30 F-7M aircraft with training and spare parts for U$160. Then Argentina also tested the Chinese MiG-21 in 1987. It received an offer for 24. None of the deals materialized.

The Russian Air Force has defended Armenia's airspace since 1995. First MiG-23P 'Flogger-G's interceptor aircraft were used, and since December 1998 mainly MiG-29 9.13 'Fulcrum-C's from Erebuni Airport. They must still have been active in 2023. Source:

Armament of the Tu-128 long-range interceptors was four R-4 'AA-5 'Ash' air-to-air missiles. Usually two of them were R-4R/MRs with semi-active radar homing and two were R-4T/MT infrared-homing missiles.

In the mid-80s, production of the MiG-21bis stopped in the Soviet Union. Therefore, the last deliveries to Angola of MiG-21bis batch were second-hand aircraft. This very early Angolan MiG-21bis was built between 1973 and 1974 and was originally used by the Soviet Frontal Aviation

@BaA43A3aHY @yucky_kholodets @StefanB2023 @GilHezkia Hi! In the late 1990s, Angola purchased about 16 MiG-23MLDs and UBs from Belarus. The aircraft arrived from Russia (MLD) and Ukraine (UB), via Belarus. All MiG-23MLDs (23-18) were original Soviet aircraft that had been modernized in the 1980s.
