The European tyre and rubber industry welcomes the clarity provided by the EU Parliament's vote on the EU Deforestation Regulation (#EUDR). The industry has been committed to the EUDR’s objectives long before its proposal, particularly through the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber(GPSNR). Building on this foundation, we will continue working with policymakers to: 🌱Strengthen systems for effective EUDR implementation 🌱Extend the mapping of smallholders to reach wider supply sheds and support them throughout the process 🌱Refine Annex I to safeguard our sector's #CircularEconomy practices 💬 “Clear timelines and practical guidance are essential for our industry to comply effectively with the EUDR,” said Adam McCarthy, Secretary General of ETRMA. At ETRMA, we remain dedicated to embedding sustainable practices across the natural rubber supply chain while supporting the industry’s long-term competitiveness. 🔗 #SustainableRubber #Competitiveness #Tyres #Rubber #SupplyChain
