We’ve introduced the use of sewing machine in our Nursery Class and it has been a hit! Here’s some pictures of B. from this morning. He requested to design and sew his own handbag. He chose his own fabric and shape,cut it and sewed it together! 🧵🪡

Some snaps from our slope today 📸 These children climbed ropes, ladders and tyres to get to the top. It was hard to tell what was more fun, climbing to the top or sliding to the bottom.

World of Work Week Day 2 - Dr Nairn came to talk to us how a
doctor can help us and what equipment a doctor uses. Dr Narin showed us some bandages, a stethoscope and torch. We really enjoyed trying on the bandages and listening to our hearts with the stethoscope.

This morning, a very bold frog marched up to our nursery door - obviously looking to play. Our nature queen, Megan, didn’t hesitate in picking him up for a gentle cuddle and brought him in for us all to examine. We noticed that he was very jumpy, bumpy and lumpy 🐸

Our igloo is nearly finished, thank you for all your milk bottle donations - please keep them coming. This construction project is taking a lot of team work. We’ve had to think about how to make the igloo round and stable. Fingers crossed the roof goes on smoothly! 🥶

Today we celebrated individuality for World Down’s Syndrome Day by wearing our odd socks! We had great discussions about what makes us unique and some facts about Down’s syndrome. We decorated some of our own socks that looks like our chromosomes!🧦

We were able to create bubbles that were different shapes using our special shape bubble wands. We developed our shape recognition as well as concentrating on blowing the bubbles. What great fun 🔍 💦💧

When the children saw the puppets that Tania (the author of Lapin is Hungry) sent us, they were very eager to make their own. Many children have now made a puppet of their own or worked with their friend to make one. It was great to hear so many French words during the making.
