If these kids were white do you think there’s any chance police come in with assault rifles aimed at them? You’re either lying, ignorant or worse if you think the answer is no
Media members running to social media to be willfully obtuse about why the WNBPA was upset about Christine Brennan’s line of questioning to Dijonai Carrington is troubling. Notice how almost none of them actually cover the W too
Malik Monk could earn up to $25 million annually in free agency.
Monk, who is still only 26 years old, is set to be aggressively pursued by teams in need of additional shot creation and playmaking ability.
Keep an eye on the Magic, Pistons, Thunder and Sixers as potential fits.
@RadioLamb
This was great but I don’t even like qualifying this as a diss. If anything Tamron Hall was the one who was being disrespected. There is a tendency to call these incidients “clapbacks” and “disses” that play into negative/false stereotypes of black women. We need to be careful
ESPN making this entire Knicks playoff run about Stephen A Smith really has to stop. The first round was easier to avoid, but we don’t have access to a local broadcast anymore. Most Knicks fans aren’t trying to stick around for this act. Please cut this out already
I think my favorite part about Gina Rodriguez’s “all lives matter” moment here is how dude who was doing the interview was like “ehhh... nah we talking about black women right now”. Journalists pushing backing on blatant foolishness is always my jam
I feel terrible for Rosalind Berhalter. I can never imagine weaponizing someone else's personal trauma as blackmail. Truly nasty work by Danielle Reyna
@RadioLamb
Absolutely and I’m glad she did! I’m definitely not any expert but I’m just trying to do my part to better empathize and understand how to best speak about black women in these spaces, even in praise. My GF has taught me a lot 🙂
@overtime
If I was the coach, I'm throwing the kid off the team for pulling this. I don't need to wait for the school or the conference to come down with discipline. One of the dirtiest plays I've ever seen on a basketball court
We given Baker Mayfield credit for what Myles Garrett, Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt and Denzel Ward did? Because they were definitely the four best players on the Browns that season
Baker Mayfield went to the absolute worst possible situation of life & changed a franchise that had sucked for decades & made them a playoff team
He destroys his throwing shoulder, tries to play through it, and the team is spitting in his face because of it
Browns being Browns.
I can’t stand s*** like this. I am all for media accountability but words matter.
“Demean” “Belittle”
The reporter tweeted a one word “yikes” tweet to Jamal Adams getting Mossed. That means his family is open season? We posting pictures of babies now? Y’all think this is cool?
I don’t know why media members think they can constantly scrutinize and personally demean, belittle, and antagonize players with no repercussions. It’s all “business is business,” until it’s not. So understand, players are real people too.
When I’m asked “doesn’t everyone love TNT?” I often point them to these sentiments that definitely represent a lot of NBA fans.
A lot of people are tired of watching people cover the NBA like they hate the NBA. No other major North American sports league has this problem
Not surprising the NBA didn't want to continue working with TNT whose coverage almost entirely consisted of crapping on the product and thinking it's very funny and good to not know who half the league's players are.
Compare how the NFL's media partners cover it vs TNT w the NBA
I’ve gotta give a shout out to my former professor, boss, mentor and all-around dope person
@karenhunter
for heightening my awareness of Juneteenth. As we stand in the middle of this current fight I hope we also find time today to reflect and celebrate how far we’ve come
… I don’t care what kind of GOAT you are. You’re not going to be missing practices, meetings and team flights to go to a mid-week wedding and start barking at me like this
@Rachel__Nichols
So you diss his teammate, Enes backs him up and it’s Kanter who has the problem? LeBron’s clearly decided to turn full heel in his last season in Cleveland
Nah, I’m not even a Giants fan and this is outrageous. Philly better be ready when the Mets win the pennant this year and I paint the Liberty bell blue and orange
The trend of sports figures berating, belittling, and bullying media members, then running to the first media job they could find the minute they’re done playing/coaching is SUPER corny
NEWS: Former Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim is finalizing an agreement to join ESPN for the 2023-24 college basketball season, according to a source.
Boeheim will also work for Westwood One as a radio analyst during the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
Christine is a legend and pioneer in this game and I don’t think she meant any harm. But like I said on the show this week, our amplification of physical basketball plays that are NOT DIRTY is perpetuating a narrative that is putting these women in the crosshairs of ugly people
@MattLeinartQB
We don't shut stuff down for cancer because doing so would have zero impact on reducing the number of cases. Americans are suffering through previously unimaginable pain and loss over these past two months. Let's stop polluting the narrative of this virus with this nonsense
Daniel Jones defenders: how can you expect any QB to have success with this O-Line and these receivers?!?!?!
*Journeyman QB comes off the bench and has success with this same O-Line and receivers*
Daniel Jones defenders: *crickets*
I don’t expect rigorous truth from standup comedy, but there’s something highly corny about Hasan Minhaj completely fabricating stories of oppression, racism and violence to make millions of dollars. The gaslighting explanations from him in this piece are also corny
Hasan Minhaj has built a comedy career in part on the strength of his autobiographical standup, talking about harrowing threats and police entrapment. Does it matter if many of these things never actually happened to him?
My story:
@BrittMcHenry
Funny thing is you'd need Obama to do something as crazy like equating protestors to Nazis to really test this out. Don't hold your breath
