Lobbying is apparently normalized bribery out in the open
Matt Gaetz explaining how most members of Congress are owned by lobbyists and special interests is really infuriating to hear. It's like a giant cartel. Gaetz revealed that lobbying firms sometimes hire members's family members to get to them, "The number of spouses and children of members of Congress who become lobbyists is astonishing."

I think itās unreasonably low estimates but I think it does well in context over time and generally. Inflation was definitely worse than that. But it also depends on what your circumstances were

Watch the Candace series Becoming Brigitte. Itās been quite the investigation. Sheās really just taking suppressed French journalists work (especially one it seems) and bringing it to an wider English audience. At the end sheās says sheās doing an interview with them. Hopefully someone makes a watchable digestible documentary version
