It's not much to ask for. I want solid healthcare, some nice roads and infrastructure, world class education, good social services, and a safety net for those less fortunate. You know, all the stuff that we pay taxes for. Not subsidies and tax breaks for the rich.

Just saw somebody try to argue that minimum wage isn't supposed to be a living wage. That their small business can't afford to pay a living wage. If the only way your business can exist is the exploitation of labor (aka peoples actual lives), then your business should not exist.

It's baffling to me that school meals aren't free. Kids raising money to pay off "lunch debt"! How could you possibly think that is OK?. Every child should receive free healthy meals from their school. I will gladly pay my taxes to make that happen. There is no better investment.

Just saw a competitor job listing asking if the applicant can work 60-80+ hours. We don't require anyone in our company to work more than 40 hours. There is a life outside of work and businesses need to wake up to this. Employees are way more productive and happier.
