My favorite part about building product is that I can be told my work is "unstoppably great" and "the 667th layer of hell" in the same day

Can we all agree to stop using 'hallucinating' as a cutesy way of saying "I was wrong"?

@austinbirch 😜 I was thinking more GTM side -- tell your customers how to use what you've built, and that'll help them find more ways that they want to use it.

I paid $30 (insurance probably another $300) to speak to an NP on the phone today, describe a few symptoms, and for a trivial prescription to be sent to the pharmacy. If we start by raising the floor, the doctor and I both get more with our time and money

This result keeps showing up in papers. GPT-4 does a good job on patient care tasks, better than the mean doctor, but doctor-AI teams do not outperform AI alone. Figuring out how to gain more when human & AI work together needs to be a bigger priority in integrating AI into work

This feels like a shortsighted vision for YC - no? If we're so confident in this future being inevitable, shouldn't we be guiding startups to focus on whatever comes of it?

Y Combinator JUST announced what startups they want to fund next in 2025. And it's mostly AI that replaces $100k/year job functions. My notes below in case it's helpful to you:

Pretty bizarre that I spent at least an hour today thinking about AGI and now I'm about to go spend an hour filing an expense report

Everyone busy dunking on Apple right now...this is Apple's tried & true playbook. Sit back, watch the innovation unfold, let consumer adoption pick up...pounce. Then, continue printing money.
