10. There will always be a need to raise concussion awareness and it’s vital that information is current factual and accessible to all involved in sport.

9. However my son is above & beyond rugby and always has been. He is funny, caring, loving , possesses a wisdom beyond his tender years.Loves nothing more than being surrounded by his family ,friends, XBox (FIFA) playing football, a foodie loves all music

7. If you were involved in sport at that time or the following years, Benjamin's story has been told repeatedly Did you think it was rare did you think concussion happens to others did you stay silent? Or did you stand with us as a family seeking answers.

6. Some of those facts some journalists like to leave out, too disturbing, much better to joke about old injuries & failed marriages. This isn't a laughing matter. My son has a sense of humour but doesn't suffer fools gladly neither do l.

5. I found my 14yr old son alone on a pitch fitting, the whites of his eyes, the gurgling of breath. Hard to read isn't it ? even harder to witness. I couldn't save my son the damage already done, my role as his Mum done, his life ..done. His Glasgow coma scale 3.

4. That information is the foundation of the UK guidelines for concussion at grassroots level. There is NO HIA at that level. During his match Benjamin displayed all the visual & audible signs of concussion that fateful day. Signs that were ignored time & again.

3. There's no charity, no Benjamin's law. What there is & has been is a mass of people who took our son's life story to heart & respectfully (some not all) supported us in raising awareness. Disseminating information doing what governing bodies deemed impossible

2. What followed, various articles in numerous format released (some had my blessing others didn't) outlining my son's life. That is your life and ours to protect. Behind every headline remains a family striving to exist under extreme circumstances

1. 14yrs ago we lost you. You were a link in a chain. A chain held together by myth, egos & ignorance. The chain snapped. Leaving you broken & lives shattered. Since then we have picked up the remaining shards in an attempt to survive.. the carefree life gone.
