Yesterday some tough news hit our program. Coach Dennis Tennell, our Running Back Coach and JV Head Coach, found out yesterday morning that his son, Da’Jon, was killed. Our thoughts abs prayers are with the Tennell family. We love you Coach!

The kids weren’t hiding their jerseys last year either. The boys have proud to play here and it is showing this year. Also, we were going to schedule the first three games like we did, independent or not. We offered to go into other districts. Regardless, independence is nice.

Our home game vs Citi Christian Academy on October 18th will now be a 4PM kickoff! This gives time for our opponent to travel back home at a more reasonable hour. This will also help with Coach Everett’s bedtime!

The old record for most total yards of offense in a single game was 535 yards set in 2003. Last night, the boys racked up 619 yards! Also, QB Dylan Oester is one TD pass short of breaking the single season record for most TD passes in one season!

I am very proud of the progress report grades that our boys have turned in both varsity and JV. 275 grades out of 313 are A’s and B’s. Over half of the D’s and F’s are from honors or AP courses. Two years ago, we had the lowest GPA in the county.
