I'm genuinely torn on who I want to see as our next First Minister. On the one hand I think VG is more beatable as he seems to attract controversy & I want Labour out of govt. On the other I want the best FM to lead our country & our project of self-government to be successful.

Wales loses £4.6bn of funding because the Tory UK Government says #HS2 is an England & Wales rail project🤷🏻‍♀️ The Tory Treasury says the Welsh economy will also suffer a £150m a year hit from HS2. 'Levelling up' will remain a empty Tory slogan unless the UK Government coughs up

@SkyNews A lot of people in this thread don't seem to understand how this works. Wales pays into the Treasury, roughly £12 billion more annually than the Welsh Govt gets back, that is for UK wide things like financial support through the pandemic. We shouldn't have to beg for it back.

Really interesting first chapter about how (badly) Wales was run prior to devolution in 99. The SoS & quangos ran Wales often with no democratic mandate, no accountability & the role of SoS was seen as a punishment. This period is often forgotten in modern political debate.

Yes, Plaid Cymru's Westminster leader is English. Weird of Labour to accuse Plaid of ethno-nationalism (they always do when things aren't going well) to then disprove it and display their bigotry instead in the very same tweet.
