Other countries like Australia have been using a Value Based Care System for decades. It’s time our health care model catches up. Join us May 20th for Duke DPT’s House of Dukelegates where we will petition to get our motion for VBC in inpatient rehab adopted. #dudpthod

@DptDuke6HOD One of the best ways to advocate for this model is to be educated on what it entails! This article (shoutout Dr. Cook) explains the core principles of value-based care and the benefits it could have! #dudpthod

The average inpatient rehab stay can cost anywhere from $5,000-$20,000 depending on diagnosis, clinic, etc. This cost is already a burden for many, but what if the care received was guaranteed to be of higher value to decrease the chances of needing further care? #dudpthod

Curious about our motion? Research the utilization of value-based care principles for the treatment of neurological diagnoses in inpatient rehabilitation physical therapy practice. We aim to use the guiding principle of value to promote quality PT & improve cost! #dudpthod

@DptDuke6HOD How do you plan to increase the visibility of pediatric physical therapy? What actionable steps can we take to bridge the gap? #dudpthod

@DukeHOD12 Besides providing resources, how can we proactively address provider burnout rather than reactively rectify the consequences? #dudpthod
