Somehow was able to get a RTX 5080 on launch day on @Newegg. Just got back from a vacation so barely unboxing it and trying it out. Nice upgrade from my 3080 for sure!

@JayzTwoCents I bought my 5080 for $1,150 on Newegg. I did want an Astral but that's $1,500 for the same chip. It does look a lot cooler than the Zotac one I got. But I see what you mean. Also I'm upgrading from a 3080 10GB. So hopefully I notice a good enough improvement.

@_LarZen_ @tomwarren It's not a scam but it isn't much of an upgrade from a 4080 super. but form a 30 series card it has good performance increase.

@JayzTwoCents I really want the Astral since it looks so cool and overkill plus I already have all ROG. I was somehow lucky and got the Zotac Solid. I'm curious to see the difference in performance between the 2 to see if I'm missing alot in performance not getting an Astral.

@ASUS I know all the cards were basically a paper launch. But what happens to the Strix cards. Those aren't even listed anywhere. Y'all just forcing everyone to jump on the Astral tier now or what?
