Luffy has been cartoonishly goofy since day one. The art style and antics have, for a while, had some people call it 'Looney Tunes' shonen. My boy finally got his Toon Force unlock animated! Not the biggest fan of "destiny" stuff, but at least the groundwork was there.

Especially since it's Emma's first real confrontation with a demon antagonist and he's viewed as the weak old man by his peers. The realization that even this old demon was as much as threat as he ended up being was a pretty massive revelation. Also harsh life lessons: the arc.

Nope. Best filler in the history of anime though. Manga had them fall into the open ocean after Skypia. Filler had them land in a hyper-secure Marine base. Antagonist almost defeats the Strawhats without even fighting them directly. Quickly began a fan favorite. Same arc as gif.
