This paper reveals that (in mice) timing of meals high in protein can significantly impact the heart. High protein meals right before sleeping can activate molecular processes that cause the heart muscle to grow, which can contribute to adverse remodeling during heart failure.
A new study published in the Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology by UAB researchers shows that an increase in the consumption of branch chain amino acids later in the day could result in a negative effect on cardiovascular health. Learn more here:
