Yesterday we were able to enjoy some time with our colleagues from the Shock Trauma Centerās observership program! There was a group from Japan, a colleague from Korea and a student from Nepal! With this we continue to build a strong program that offers opportunities for all our visitors to learn and share their experiences with us!

Today, there are no limits to what science can achieve. These young students began working with me in Abu Dhabi, and despite challenges like different time zones, they are giving their best to keep up with our work. The result? Another paper published in a PubMed-indexed journal! šŖ As a mentor, Iāve developed a strong sense of who approaches me for publishing opportunities, and this intuition saves me a lot of time. Itās rewarding to see their dedication and hard work pay off!

Over the last three days I have had the presence of my friend and colleague Dr. Rafael Possiedi, a trauma and burn surgeon at the Shock Trauma Center! He visited the trauma surgery, acute care and emergency surgery and complex soft tissue services. Receiving people of Dr. Possiedi's caliber who represent Brazil gives me great satisfaction and I am certain that good things are yet to come from this partnership of ours!

I'm thrilled to congratulate my PhD mentee on having his impressive study accepted for publication in a high-impact journal! Dr. Gentile began his research journey with me over 15 years ago as a medical student, and it's been incredible to witness his growth as both a surgeon and a researcher. I feel truly blessed to have been a part of so many careers throughout my journey!
