So if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like being a small-time racing driver…
Yesterday I drove myself to
@MartinsvilleSwy
at 7 AM.
I raced in the
@NASCAR_Trucks
race for
@AMRacingNASCAR
.
I drove myself back to my apartment, getting back around 3 AM.
Now, I’m serving
@Outback
.
Hey
@NASCARONFOX
. I just sold my car to race gateway next week. I think that deserves a little coverage on the broadcast.
No one can ever tell me I didn’t give my all for this dream. I fight for it every god damn day.
.
@Blaney
is the 10th driver to win across all 3
#NASCAR
National Series at 1 track
@iowaspeedway
.
See the full list of drivers to achieve this feat below.
Sure lived up to our sponsors name last night by running…
@Outback
HA. Get it? Outback? No?
P32.
And to Outback Steakhouse, and I’ll say this a lot… I could NOT be prouder to have an employer like you guys. You’re all incredible; and thank you for helping me live my dreams
…and 31 in trucks? 31+16=47.
He’s worked for a bunch of the teams in the garage too, his family has been in the sport forever, and if I got paid to talk about NASCAR, maybe I’d spend time learning the drivers instead of talking about how shit the city of Chicago is.
Day one of law school was today.
I managed to tell everyone I race in NASCAR, when the question “who thinks they had the coolest job pre-law school” came about.
I tied with someone who was a freakin APACHE HELICOPTER PILOT.
That, is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.
Instead of wasting three laps under yellow, why not just declare the stage official at that moment and open pit road? I mean come on, am I the only one who feels this way?
I think there is no appeasing NASCAR fans.
We hold off on a caution, so we don’t end up with 4 overtime’s and try to get the race done under green (fair call with a track the size of Indy, and a light wreck), and people are pissed.
We have four OT’s, and people are pissed.
lol
A morning update for everyone:
Dads pre-Gateway scans were not good at all. The previous treatment has stopped being effective, so we’ve switched to an even more aggressive one. The outlook isn’t great.
Things are brutal at home right now. Please keep him in your prayers. ❤️
It was a tough day. And there will be conversations about my performance tonight in the coming days. Sorry to let down all of the people who support me.
But at the end of the day, none of that is anywhere near as important as what
@Outback
did for me tonight. It’s unbelievable
@ClintBowyer
@Outback
Holy moly, the weight of the deal really sets in when the one and only Clint Bowyer tweets about you!
Thank you man. Next time you see me in the garage, come over and chat. I’ll give you a free Bloomin’ onion card or something…
I’ll be honest, the once in a blue moon this happens is far better than a race ending under caution. It was maybe the fourth or fifth time we’ve seen four overtime’s. And I’m fine with it because it’s much better to end a race under green than under caution.
To all of you who helped me with the outback outpouring on social media…
Thank you. There are some discussions about next year because of the outpouring of support.
Please, keep up the support of them, and I can not thank everyone enough for all they’ve done for me ❤️
The NASCAR Truck Series field at Atlanta Motor Speedway will only feature 32 entries.
It is the smallest Truck Series field since pre-COVID at Las Vegas in February 2020.
I’m beginning to agree; the plate racing has been… underwhelming.
I’m beginning to feel like every type of track is problematic, except cookie cutter 1.5’s….
Sherry Pollex. That is some of the hardest NASCAR news I’ve heard in a while.
Cancer always hits close to home with me. And she was an inspiration. My thoughts and prayers are with the Pollex family. ❤️
So stupid. It’s an all star race. It’s supposed to be fun for fans, and most fans would love to see Harvick race.
It’s not for points, so who cares if some interesting people run???
Do people think I randomly decided to downshift and nuke the motor? Or like is there some conspiracy that I blew up on purpose? How is a motor blowing up anyone’s fault???
Most humbling thing I have ever done:
Just bought a
@Blaney
shirt for the girl I like to wear at the Talladega race this weekend. She said Blaney was hot. Damn it, Ryan.
I don’t understand how you win 50 cup races and have such a bad opinion on a move you made. Either A. He really does not know or B. He’s lying. Odds are it’s B.
If you put a guy in the fence to win, own it. I think I’d do it too.
But to blame Larson? Insane.
6.5/10 race.
1:00 EST start times. The NFL does it and people tune it. They’re beautiful things.
Even if we didn’t get to halfway… At least all the fans who attended would’ve seen some racing. It’s consistently so frustrating how much something no one can control impacts our sport.
Skyler’s mom messaged me on Facebook after, and said I made her day. I decided to get them garage passes for raceday.
The fact that I have fans or anything close to that is amazing.
Whether I make 4, 40, or 400 NASCAR starts, I’ll never stop appreciating those who support me.
I talked it out with Timmy. It wasn’t his fault; he got drove through. I was frustrated because as a guy who has driven cars that get lapped a lot in his career, figured he’d understand… which he did.
Timmy was super apologetic. And, I stand by the fact that he’s one of the
"Trevor, who ran through me there?" asks Mallozzi under the caution at the end of Stage 1.
"The 56 (Timmy Hill)."
"5-6?"
. . .
"I'll remember when he comes around next time, I'll put him in the fence."
This seems like… a choice.
AJ is 17 back and the first car out of the Cup Series playoffs. Going to win a meaningless xfinity race at RA while missing critical practice and qualifying time is something.
Derek Kraus will practice and qualify for AJ Allmendinger at Richmond while Allmendinger is at Road America. Kraus does a lot of the team’s simulator work.
Outback yesterday, Outback today.
Yesterday, I stopped by the
@Outback
in Hagerstown for a FANTASTIC MEAL.
Today, had an appearance at Outback in Bristol. Thanks to all the staff and crew for their hard work, and thanks to all who came out! 👍
It took not three days for someone else to reach out to Ozark Fishing Rods trying to get Ozark to sponsor them instead of me.
Racing is full of such scummy people.
Love Ozark, love all my sponsors, and I thank y’all for choosing me. ❤️
Guys I really was not expecting that sort of response. Most support I’ve ever gotten as a driver for sure. It’s moments like this that make me want to keep diggin’. ❤️

1,000 TWITTER FOLLOWERS HOLY MOLY! So here’s the deal: like this tweet by midnight tonight, make sure you follow me, and I’ll randomly select someone to pick a piece of Mallozzi merch and send it their way! Thank you 🥹
I can not explain how different the truck and Xfinity cars are. It is insane.
It’s going to take some getting used to, but
@J_G_Motorsports
built a really good car today. If we can figure out how to be consistent, it’ll be a real solid day.
Meanwhile, in the back of the pack:
1. The newfound speed and strengthened relationship w/RFK has pushed RWR out of the NASCAR cellar. It’s seemingly between Kaulig and WBR now.
2. Zane Smith has had an utterly heinous start to the year. Everyone knows he’s better than this.
Race fans! Be sure to come visit me and the Outback Steakhouse F-150 at one of our scheduled Outback appearances!!! We will even be at the Bristol location for lunch on RACE DAY. There will be prizes and great food! Be sure to stop by!
@Outback
On 9/19/23, we will be in the
Had to hit
@Outback
after seeing their support of
@DriverMallozz
over the weekend in Bristol. Hope to see him back on the track with that awesome looking truck!
So look, at 15 seconds, when Larson is in between turns 3 and 4. Preece gets the car spun the right way (after facing the wrong way) and starts moving.
There was a brief shining moment when the leaders were coming out of 4 where it looks like he has enough momentum to stay
NEWS: The Chicago White Sox (
@WhiteSox
) will serve as the primary sponsor for
@Mc_Driver
and the No. 34
@Team_FRM
Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Cup Series event at the Chicago Street Course.
#NASCAR
I’m watching Bj McLeod drive to the front without a single car out of the race at talladega.
They said they thought there were 30 potential winners pre-race.
I think there are 38.
Gotten tons of discussion about the playoffs. Let's do a poll. Do playoffs belong in NASCAR? Explain why, and if possible, which format would be best.
#NASCARPlayoffs
Loved the actual racing. It was awesome, action packed, and fun.
Things I didn’t love:
1. NASCAR’s rules surrounding road course yellows.
2. NASCAR’s rules surrounding road course stage breaks.
3. NASCAR’s reluctance to get the race going again.
4. Mother Nature
5. Start time
Pocono raceway, I can not express how sad I am to not be racing at ya this year.
It is my favorite track. My home race. And we came so close to racing there this year, but came up just short.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I swear, it’s actually working. BIG THINGS. Keep going! Repost everything I’ve tweeted about
@Outback
. Tell them you want a bloomin’ onion on a stock car. Tell them you want someone in a NASCAR fire suit to serve you your Alice springs chicken. Tell them you want them in NASCAR!
We will be
@Outback
in Christiansburg, VA from 11:00AM-1:00 PM THIS MORNING!!!
We will also be at the Charlottesville location from 4:00-6:00 PM!
Be sure to stop in for some great food and awesome (or should I say Aussie) prizes!!!
We did what we needed to do today, so there was no point in risking the truck. Knocked off the rust, tried out some setup things for
@RBR_Teams
, and overall tried to improve our program. Great seat time in a ride I got on Monday. Thanks to Josh and all the guys.
Big one tomorrow
