@TooMuchMortons_ Confident they'll find a LF with some sort of positive track record or more upside. Now, whether it happens tomorrow or 3 days before Spring Camp breaks is anyone's guess I suppose 🤷🏻♂️

@TooMuchMortons_ And to think that when I was a wee lad watching Benito Santiago's rookie season I just assumed the Pads would always have a bad ass catching situation 🫠

@RFMission We really need to not forget @luke_yoder & company after he and his crew somehow brings this now Central California cow pasture back to life.

@PadresDataDaily Well then bWAR is flawed or the Padres should be relegated to AAA for historical ineptitude.

@PrellersBurner Higashioka got 5.75M for '25 and a mutual option for '26. So they save 2.25M for one year on a downgrade offensively and a significant downgrade defensively IMO. The latter statement is just an eye test. I haven't looked at nerd metrics.

@TooMuchMortons_ Higashioka was a little over $2M more for this season with a mutual option for the next no? 🤔

@TalkingFriars Well the Pads still need a legitimate starter at both Catcher and LF and the backend of the rotation is a big question mark...so...considering that they arguably have the most active GM in baseball...who obviously has his hands tied at the moment...I feel frustration warranted 🤷🏻♂️

@TalkingFriars Anyone have a trade app analysis for this deal with Cincy? Cease for Tyler Stephenson/Will Benson/Graham Ashcraft 🤷🏻♂️ Pick up bat first catcher, High Ceiling/low floor LF and a functional back end rotation piece with some upside in exchange for an upgrade to a young rotation?

@pitchprofiler @TooMuchMortons_ Stuff is certainly there. My concern with him as a starter would be efficiency. I might be off on that feel though. How does he do in that regard statistically?

@NationPadres We're going to end up with Pedro Cerrano and Jake Taylor at LF and C and it will be glorious.
