Heartbroken to hear about the passing of Luke Fronckoski, the news is really hard to accept. Please pray for his family and friends. He was one of the most gifted athletes I’ve ever coached. The Unicoi County Football Program mourns the loss of one of its own.

In 1 week young men from across the country will be signing letters of intent to play college football, making lifelong dreams a reality. Young guys - it’s important to understand this doesn’t just happen, it’s YEARS of commitment and work coming to fruition!

We said when this thing was over we would look back and reflect on our season. Unbelievably proud of these young men. To this year’s seniors, I’m forever grateful for your dedication and leadership. Always remember, as in football and in life, stay low and keep your feet moving.

Football (or any HS sport) is the only positive thing in a lot of kids’ lives. It’s an identity, an outlet, and a place to be a part of something larger than themselves. It’s my hope and prayer that opportunity never gets taken away from any kid in this country ever again.

Ten years ago, my coaching career began. I graduated on a Friday and had my first practice the following Monday. Seems like an eternity ago, and at the same time it seems like last week.

Parents -don't pour so much into your kids athletic careers that you forget to teach them to be well-rounded young men and women of character. We’ve failed them if, when their playing days are over, their identity is defined but something they did - not the person they’ve become.
