Florida Atlantic Owls ~ Post Up Sets
FAU was in the 99th %tile post-up efficiency last year (1.133 PPP).
Here are some sets that got them quality Post-Up looks.
Atlanta Hawks HC Quin Snyder Backscreen Series
In his short tenure with the Hawks, he has used his usual Backscreen action that was common in Utah but has also added in a Spain Backscreen play that got the Hawks a wide open dunk in Game 5 against the Celtics.
The Sparks ran Horns High-Low multiple times last night against various defensive coverages. Most of the time, the High-Low pass was denied, prompting them to transition into secondary actions.
The Knicks frequently run this look for Jalen Brunson right after the tip. He either sets a flex screen and then gets a down screen, or he comes off the single side of their Floppy setup.

1. Iverson Wedge to Dallas Action
Here's a great slip action from Penn State's 2023 team!
- Iverson Out with a weakside false rip screen, where the rip screener slips and sprints off a pin down that the screener slips.
-The space the false screen creates for the screener forces the big to show on the pindown.
Golden State Warriors ~ Motion Weak
-It is very common for Curry to reject the cross screen and run off the pin down in the Warriors' Motion Weak action. Suggs denies the reject but gets forced to take a bad closeout angle when Curry uses the screen and relocates.
A player that I have watched with awe over the past two seasons was UCONN PG Tristian Newton. My first thread on X highlights his performance in the 2024 Final Four and some of the actions he excelled in.
Isaiah Hartenstein did it all for the Knicks in game 2 to pull off one of the greatest finishes in MSG history.
Hartenstein was a elite secondary playmaking hub for the Knicks offense and he was able to contribute heavily as a blocker in their 5-Out motion offense.
Mikal Bridges is a Knick!
-Possible top 6's:
Brunson-Divo-OG-Bridges-Randle-Center(if no ihart)
Brunson-Divo-Hart-Bridges-Randle-IHart(if no OG)
-Here's the newest Knick in Ball-Screen action, which will be helpful in alleviating pressure off of Brunson.
🍀Boston Celtics🍀 – Iverson Ram PnR
✔️The ram screen from the 3 forces a switch or the 4’s defender is late to cover the side ballscreen.
✔️Really effective when a shooter has cleared to the opposite corner.

This year I was luckily able to watch Devin Carter take over the second half of Providence's Big East Quarterfinal game. As a Knicks fan I hope he plays 42 games at the Garden next year.
Below are two clips that got him rim looks down the stretch
