I love this clip. I learned early on in life that hustle was the one thing I can control on the baseball field. Down 8-2 in the 7th and I was 9 outs from signing my draft bonus. Doesn’t matter. Play til the last out.

Baseball is officially over for 2024. The Charleston Blue Claws 13U had a great fall season transitioning to the Big Fields. 15-7 and played in 4 championship games in 5 tournaments. 3 out of 4 at Shipyard Park. And I’m proud of Hudson competing against kids 18 months older.

The 1st pic is one of the hardest speeches I’ve had to make to a team after our final 12U game. But the 2nd pic is why I coach. I love these boys more than they know. 2-2-1 in USSSA WS event in Florida. The heat beat us up and we stumbled in bracket play but we had a blast.

We are in Knoxville for Easter so might as well catch the rubber match between @Vol_Baseball and @BaseballUGA . I’m allergic to orange so I chose the BlueClaw blue.

I’m sad to hear the news about my friend Tommy Moody. He wore many hats in his life and he was my #1 mentor as I shifted from the playing field to the radio booth. I am grateful for the patience and encouragement he had with us former players trying to figure out it out. RIP

Very proud of the Charleston Blue Claws this weekend with a Gold Medal 11U Championship and 4-0 record at Shipyard Park. They say it takes a village and these boys have the best support from their parents. Fun weekend for all.

Today is an awesome day as we conduct our first official team practice for our new 11U Baseball Team, the Charleston Blue Claws. Thanks to those that helped make this possible. We will be working hard to be our best.

This was a fun moment to cap off a grinding 1st year of 9U kid pitch baseball. Hustle Attitude and Focus are the 3 things you need to do everyday to succeed in baseball. After 30 intense team practices and a record of 1-16-2, you find out who your energy givers are.

Hard to believe but my SEC record of 120 hits in a single season from 20 years ago still stands today. Not gonna lie, I kinda like holding on to that one. To break it, you need to average 1.62 hits per game and play 75 games. It’s going to take a lot of luck and hustle to beat it

I’ve looked up to Chris Burke @ChrisBurke02 my entire life and have listened him call games for a long time now. He is an absolute icon of fundamental baseball knowledge. I hope he’ll answer my random call from the 843 tomorrow.
