I don’t like to comment or pass judgment on ongoing issues, however after reading the summary for the misconduct hearing I’m disappointed once again. I never thought I’d buy into the “stop being proactive” but I’m genuinely done! I have to look after myself and my family.
I know Johnny.
He’s one of the most kind & genuine people I’ve met in Policing. 😞
I know everyone who knows him feels exactly the same way.
He is dependable, true, & was a very good Cop.
You can choose to support them & their families.
Thank you. 🚨
I can’t explain how lucky I feel to be able to serve the crown and it’s people as both a soldier and constable concurrently. Leaving the regular army I thought would leave a huge hole, fortunately the reserves fills that hole in my life.
Coronation done, back to policing!
After my trip to RESUS and a telling off from LFB I’m feeling very humbled by the fact they had to use the XL BP cuff in the ambulance. I couldn’t love my team more, true teamwork.
After two more rejected annual leave requests I have been advised by the team who handle leave to consider booking for next summer on October first and that it’s is just the reality of being an ERPT officer.. and they wonder why moral is so low.
Sometimes I wonder if I should have just policed a small town in wales. A friend of mine has been in 6 months and got courses it would take me 5-6 years to get, she has a nice work life balance and no gargantuan rent. But I do get to tell people I’m in the FAKIN MET.
Needed this overload of sugar last night. Starting to reach burnout, too many calls too few officers. Going to go home and listen to Taylor swift, eat Ice-cream and cry! DC out.
Heard on good authority that the Bleep test pass is going to be lowered to 3.7, I quite frankly think this is disgusting move. Without a level of fitness the job becomes more dangerous.
Officers fearlessly ran into a burning building to rescue those trapped inside.
They arrived in under five minutes and thanks to their quick action no one suffered serious injuries.
Seven officers and six residents were taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and
As a regular I dismissed the reserves, thought how could a bunch of part timers do the job as well as us. I have come to realise the amazing commitment and skill set they bring to the Army. I work with Lawyers, paramedics, cops builders, all bring something unique.

Of course, I did not leave my iPhone on the roof of the car while en route to an I grade destroying it and leaving me phoneless. That would be stupid! In unrelated news, new phone who dis
Tragedy struck today when we got a CAT1 just as the warm salted beef bagel was bought. The subsequent cold salted beef was still fantastic. Happy bank holiday all!
On my way home from shift last night, I was sat in the same tube section as a female who’d clearly just come from a night out, modestly dressed (not that it should matter) who was constantly hit on and stared at by utter weirdos. I found myself constantly looking out for her.
Just like that NHC 2023 is over. Got hammered on a junction yesterday and on my feet the majority of the day. Team PSU cohesion at an all time high, tactics were fluid and competed perfectly, and I got to see people I haven’t seen in ages.
Over the course of 7 months there has been a sharp rise in high-value watch robberies in central London worth £4 million.
Undercover officers set out patrolling major hotspots in Kensington and Chelsea, the West End and Mayfair to help people impacted by these robberies.

Responded to reports of a Child under 5 in cardiac arrest on the way to work, luckily after a bit of airway management child was breathing, Mum was obviously terrified.

What an incredible year. Coronation as a Kings guard, Start of my journey with the LAS, New policing team, I have loved every moment of the journey. Huge things planned this year which I’m sure I will bore you all with down the line. Happy new year Twitter!!!
No officer would ever expect you to get involved, however I was getting thrown around in the back of an ambulance by one of the strongest people I have ever met and a tiny female paramedic jumped on his back giving me control back and I still speak about her today. Be that story!
A question for police officers.
When ye are having a scuffle on the floor with our pt, be that due to assault or Section 136 or some other reason
Do ye want us ambos to get down and give ye a hand or do we just get in the way?
Its a discussion were having on station recently
Ceremonial training doesn’t get any better than the All arms advanced drill course. And do many photos go harder than three Met officers high and centre? 💂♀️
Had the honour of assisting the Special Constabulary with their parade on Sunday. Got to catch up with some old army mates, and bumped into another team member on the way back to CX. The lovely ladies and gents behind me threatened to run me over if I didn’t walk fast enough.
Went to a call last night, arrived within 3 minutes of the call being made, still accused of taking too long.. that I’m a public servant and should have been there faster.
DC luck strikes again. Approximately 5 seconds later.. you guessed it CAT1 followed by brain freeze. Make sure you look after vulnerable friends and family, it’s bloody hot!
My fave talks are with criminals, recently had a screwdriver vs baton fight with a lad. He lost.. 10 minutes later I’m sharing police stories and he’s sharing jail stories. I respect he’s trying to get away, he respects I’m trying to catch him. Said we’d meet for the next round.
Just been to my third Cardiac arrest dispatch in a row from GoodSam where the caller has given NOT breathing, because “The ambulance takes too long otherwise” talk about boy who cried wolf
I’m honestly impressed with the Met at the moment. I have seen and heard of SLT backing officers far more. Listened to about kit issues such as field jackets, now the rollout of laptops fast time. It’s taken time but credit where is due!
Emotional dine out for
@watkinson_gaz
. One monumental loss to the MPS and a great addition to GMP! You are very lucky to have him. To a great colleague, advanced driller, blue red bluer, but mostly to a great friend, Gaz I will bloody miss you r’kid! “I must do my duty” 🟦🟥🟦
It may be bias as squaddie and a cop, however someone who stands up for something that isn’t the popular opinion because it’s the right thing to do gets a green flag from me.
I know this will make me even more unpopular, and no-one can gloss over the difficulties in the Police Service at the moment. But it’s childish to tar them all with the same brush. We are incredibly lucky with the vast majority of UK Police who risk personal danger every day.
Did some really good high risk jobs with a lot of risk last set.. but the highlight of my week was wheeling an 89 year old lady up the ramps of A&E and sitting with her for 20 minutes and completing a loneliness referral online and having a little natter about her life.
It’s been a short while, I wanted to let the dust settle but I need to give a big thanks to
@DyfedPowys
police for sending some smart Specials that worked with Richard down to his funeral. It meant the world to my family and showed how much Rich meant to the force. TBL. 💙💙💙
If I wasn’t involved in the Remembrance parade this year I’d be staying at home and reflecting more personally. I can already tell it’s going to be full of idiots from every opinion trying to push their agenda. It’s going to be a hard day for me. Anyone else feeling similar?
Just seen a lovely old frail lady struggling to pick up her shopping, so of course I approached and asked would she like some help, I was met with a not so nicely “f**k off”. Only in London 😂
She did nothing but sit in an initially quiet section of the tube looking at her phone. I felt genuinely sorry for her and it shocked me how many absolute creeps were out and about. It’s obvious when someone isn’t comfortable, just because it isn’t illegal doesn’t mean it’s right
24 long hours working on something amazing. Getting the feet up and ensuring our kit is to the highest of standards for Saturday. God save the king!

That’s the coronation done, huge honour to wear red and don my bearskin again however I’m looking forward to getting back to policing. That being said I’m not looking forward to two weeks of emails to sort through!
There is this massive misconception that police “can’t be bothered” to attend these calls. Sadly the reality is, when there are outstanding stabbings/domesticGBH/SexualAssaults, the non violent shoplifter sits and the bottom of our priority’s.
Should the public tackle shoplifters?
Policing Minister, Chris Philp, is urging members of the public to help tackle the epidemic of shoplifting by making citizen arrests.
Let these new colours carry the spirits of all those who have fought and died as a member of the Londons, and let it metaphorically rally those who will go on to defend king and country under them.
Worked hard to get a firearm off of the street last night.. sadly my work phone that fell out of my vest while chasing may have been greeted by 3 keen ARV trucks.
Refining those low level skills and drills, Ran some OBUA lessons for the boys recently, gone from sloppy and clumsy to fast and efficient.

Cooked myself some Bolognaise ready for NHC. Taking bets on this going cold and gross sat in my bag all day until I return home and order a McDonald’s.
The constant failure of mental health facilities to safeguard the public and their patients constantly worries me. Multiple absconders daily. If the police did the same we’d never hear the end of it. What’s the issue, staff? funding? Security?
I have seen many posts regarding the disorder in Camberwell yesterday, some which state the police have “lost control” spontaneous disorder will happen in a large city like London, what wasn’t shown was the quick efficient deployment of public order officers all over the city.
We talk about the challenges, we talk about the sacrifices, and we talk about the bravery.
This is all those things, and more!
Brave men and women watching each others backs and bringing disorder under control.

I support anyone’s right to protest, despite if I agree with it or not. But please don’t set it up/ protest around the counties cenotaph. It really does shut me down to any argument you may put forward.
Remember these two men are real people. It can be easy when you see “Met firearms officers” to forget that. They have family, hobbies, and friends. 6 years of pure hell. The IOPC needs to change or disband. How can non police shootings be investigated in a fraction of the time?

I feel for my poor cat that’s just witnessed me dance naked from the shower to my room conducting an awful re-enactment of murder on the dance floor Saltburn with a glass of shower wine in hand.
Hugely important day honouring those who sacrificed it all for the people of Britain. Working for the

who’s eye for detail is unmatched.

Took a week off work, I have felt really unsettled. I can recall having the same feeling on R&R from Afghanistan. It’s the constant fear of missing something and not feeling right unless I’m in the thick of it with the team. No doubt I will feel differently come NHC!
@IPledgeToThee
I have always found this take odd, newer officers are the ones stuck on freezing crime scenes. I think gatekeeping kit is embarrassing, the pride of specialising comes from the qualification not the free kit you are given with it.
Heart is full following my good friends wedding. No major injuries following a load of army lads stuck in a room with wine and beer, much to everyone’s shock.
My proudest achievement in policing is to have a clean email account, no unread emails, all stored in their own files; and an empty general inbox. Sterile email accounts for the win.
The joy of public order policing in London is you can be told you are being too strict and walk two metres down the road and be told you aren’t strict enough. It’s like a really boring seesaw!
Spending some time visiting my sister in the alps doing what I love most. It’s the first time I have taken proper time off in over 12 months and it’s given me a proper rest already. Remember to give yourself some decompression time people. Now back off-piste
Anyone got any experience in army legal? Reserves trying to withhold on last years bonus because the request went in too late.. in other news I’m leaving the reserves 😂
Are you trying to say if I have a catastrophic bleed on duty, my TQ shouldn’t be wrapped up in a random place deep in the sealed Med bag stuffed in the boot of a packed patrol vehicle that’s parked around the corner of my location?
Back in university soon, I work the borough it is located on and nicked students there. The Met have a Shirt and trousers policy further marking us a police officers on campus, many have fired this up as a concern and ignored as usual.
