Really pleased to see our patient information leaflet on BK virus infections in kidney transplant recipients starting to reach patients via NKF. Proudly developed with patients, @Kidney_Research and @BTStransplant. #kidneyhealth #KidneyDisease
🌟NEW for June 🌟 This leaflet explains BK virus infection and why your anti-rejection medication might need to be adjusted to allow the immune system to protect your kidney transplant. Get your FREE copy today, email: helpline@kidney.org.uk 🧡

This graph is a great illustration of why I think millions of people in the UK would be happy to pay more (not less) tax. These delays can only lead to people dying unnecessarily from #cancer and we need funding to resolve the problem. @Conservatives @UKLabour @LibDems
.@NHSEngland aims to begin treatment for 85% of cancer patients within 62 days of an urgent referral. Although more people are being diagnosed and treated than ever before, new analysis out today shows that around 382,000 patients in England did not start their cancer treatment within this time frame since the target was last met in December 2015. This general election must be a #TurningPointForCancer and any incoming UK Government needs to show bold leadership on cancer and commit to a long-term strategy for cancer research and care. This must be underpinned by targeted investment in workforce and equipment, alongside reform to improve the quality and efficiency of services. #CancerWaitingTimes #InTheNews
