Here is the priest in Burkina Faso who was shot along with five parishioners by Jihadists who then proceeded to burn down the church. Where is the outrage - as opposed to sentimental humanitarian dialogue waffle - from Western political and religious leaders?.

190 years ago today, the last Signer of the Declaration of Independence and the only Catholic signer, Charles Carroll of Carrollton, died. The richest man in the colonies at the time, Carroll was willing to risk it all for liberty.

This is what we have come to: one of the giants of legal philosophy in our time, John Finnis (full disclosure, he supervised my doctorate), is being subject to ideological harassment for his REASON-BASED classic natural law views about sexual morality.

So: let me get this straight. Pumping oil in, say, Texas needs to be phased out BecauseClimateChange, but pumping oil in (Marxist-crony-dictatorship) Venezuela is somehow different?.

Liberal Christianity is just a stage on the way to Jesus-is-my-Teddy-Bear, agnosticism, bourgeois morality, and/or progressivise clericalism.

The American Founding reflects a mixture of 1) Greco-Roman sources, 2) moderate mainly Scottish Enlightenment ideas, 3) common law influences and 4) Biblical ideas mediated by Anglican + Protestant thinkers. This order is many things, but it is not Christian nationalism.

This. Is. True. The right conceded culture to the left, and, in the end, culture - not economics - determines everything else. It’s ironic that Marxists - the ultimate materialists - understand this better than most. Win the culture, you eventually win everything else.

The inability of Republicans to defend America is a direct result of the right giving the humanities up to the left in the 70s and going all in on law and economics.
