We who voted for Harris or at least against the 🍊🤡 *knew* that he’d be a fascist. It wasn’t conjecture, but based on a load of empirical evidence. I’m only surprised it took as long as a week for the new age of American Authoritarianism to be announced.

TL;DR - Mo is a thoughtful leader who has actual experience in public schools and believes in the value of it. The other is a homeschooling former nurse who lies about public schools, hates teachers, and is a Minivan Taliban (“Moms for ‘Liberty’”) icon.

I used to help sick and hurt people as an EMT so that qualifies my to run Duke or UNC’s medical facilities. She’s not even qualified to be on a PTA. She does nothing but lie and fear monger. She’s as useful for public education as mayo-based sauce is on NC BBQ.

Ok. Sure. Putting someone in charge of the state educational organization who openly mocks teachers, regularly lies about what they do, thoroughly disrespects and distrusts them, and wants them to indoctrinate kids based on *her* Christofacist values, sounds like a great idea.

Leader of the NC Minivan Taliban, MM has the audacity to lie twice on a single campaign sign: (1) lying that kids are being “indoctrinated,” & (2) suggesting she opposes it. Get real. She mf LOVES indoctrination as long as it’s content endorsed / spouted by MAGA or evangelicals.

Last I checked, R legislators in NC were planning to give 1/2 a BILLION dollars to their rich constituents looking for private school vouchers (even though they can already afford those schools). That money absolutely needs to be re-designated for Western NC relief and recovery.

Entire communities in the western regions of my state are truly devastated and suffering. If you can find even a small amount to donate to relief efforts in NC - or in other states impacted by #Helene, please do so.

NC’s GOP legislators steal from low SES families and rural families to give wealthy families in WCPSS and MCS money so they can send their kids to private silos, Oops I mean schools. I loathe their policies and perspectives so much.

I’m thankful that my first 16 years at @BoiseState were in its Dept of #EdTech in @BoiseStateCOED. After the recent reorg, we’re now the “Dept of Educational Leadership, Research, & Technology” but I still get to work w/ the same outstanding colleagues & even more of them!
