More data about paternal age in the US For every 1000 births in the US, there are 488 females and 512 males. When father >70yrs, the ratio changes to 503 females and 497 males. When father >75yrs, the ratio changes to 524 females and 476 males. #MensHealth @StanfordUrology
Compared to younger fathers, fathers ≥50y were more racially and educationally diverse, this study finds. Older fatherhood was associated with increased assisted reproduction, first-time maternal births, adverse perinatal outcomes, and altered sex ratio.

While testosterone therapy can benefit men, there has been concern about negative effects on prostate (i.e. cancer or growth leading to urinary symptoms). TRAVERSE Trial showed no increased risk with T therapy. #MensHealth
Prostate safety is a concern of men considering testosterone treatment. In the TRAVERSE Trial, a large testosterone RCT in men with hypogonadism, rates of prostate cancer and other prostate events were low and did not differ vs placebo.
