Heading home to USA. But feeling empty. Likely this is my last post here. Need to focus on how to go forward.

Last night in China! Memorable with spectacular river cruise to see the skyline. I was last here 25 years ago - mind blowing changes. So many thanks to my fantastic former student Ze Ren who made many of the arrangements for this wonderful 2-week journey.

Goodbye Wuhan. Had a great (but short) time at the lake and river meeting. Also shared some special time with these lovable but endangered goofballs (Yangtze River finless porpoise)

This turned into an incredible Sunday PM when we ascended (by gondola then ca 1000 stairs) to view the glacier at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. From ca 6500 ft at the river in the AM to 15350 in the PM ! (Yes I took a little oxygen. )
