Pit Bulls so often get a bad rap…but rarely is it the dog, it’s the owner. Some of the most well-socialized and best behaved dogs are those I meet on the streets…including this big boy! 🐶

Spent more time in Skid Row. And as rough as it seems on the surface, I always find kindness and appreciation (even though they have very little). So much greed has consumed our culture, it only takes me a stroll down the street to be reminded that humility still exists.

Checking up on some pups I have visited before. 🐶🐶 Pet dad contacted me when he suspected that Lady Grace had an ear infection & he was correct.👂Ear infections are common conditions in dogs, especially those with lovable floppy ears or underlying allergies. Glad I could help.

When we use the expression “weather the storm”, some are simply better equipped. Perhaps a fortunate upbringing, strong support with family/friends, more resources. Regardless, setting aside a perception of someone’s position in life will cast a new light on the way you see them.

Just launched something I’ve been wanting to do for years!
In Skid Row, for free & on the honor system, anyone who needs food for their dog or cat can stop by the “Dog Food Pantry” It’ll be stalked with premium food 24/7.

Many people don’t know this but everytime I pick up a puppy I steal a tiny bit of that magical puppy energy 🐶😆 and it also still reminds me of why my seven year old self wanted to be a vet in the first place ☺️

This sweet lady is a hero of mine. I recently visited the shelter I worked at 10 yrs ago & Sara was still there! Volunteering 6 days a wk for the last 10 yrs! Cleaning, feeding, walking & adopting. She considers all of them her “babies” & is responsible for saving 1000’s of lives

I feel like we’re at a time in society where there is a shortage of tolerance and kindness. I think intolerance holds people back from doing kind gestures, & I hope to demonstrate though the work I do that we need to start looking out for each other again.

Definitely one of my all time favorite encounters. Mike and his little crazy girl. The bond was so strong between the two of them. 🐶 I often tell the story of how we gave Mike some money to help him out and he went and bought a pizza for us. He said he always pays it forward💪

We all define “wealth” differently. After we gave this man a gift bag he gave us $5. He said please pay it forward. I asked why & he said “I have plenty, in fact I’m wealthy”. He reached in his pocket (I thought he was going to pull out a wad of cash) & showed me his bible.
