Lmao I used to have a roommate back in the day when I was doing Bsc and he was doing medicine. He used to look down on me because I initially didn’t get in. He was 2 years ahead of me but here we are doing comm serve together. Lol never listen to naysayers and just run your race.

I also finally gathered enough courage to take a picture by my mom’s grave and as you can see I was smiling which is progress 😅😅. It’s been 21 years without her which is literally majority of my life but we conquer!
I was able to visit both my parent’s graves and managed to not fall apart on this trip. It was actually a very liberating visit this time around which is a good thing 😅.

What was funny is that the 3 nurses are now all shocked that the patient is doing much better when they weren’t even willing to try. I can sleep well knowing I gave my all no matter what happens to the patient at this point and that’s a win.

This year marks 20 years without my mom and 2 years without my dad. Lol that’s just so crazy to me because it feels like my mom missed all my life and my dad left when things were finally turning around. I miss them everyday.

I attempted to put up a peripheral line, law and behold the patient had no veins. At this point all the nurses had left me on my own. I opted for a CVP, luckily I got it. Gave fluids gave adrenaline, BPs picked up, sats picked up, pulse picked up.

Blood pressures were on the floor( I’m talking systolic of 40’s) patient was desaturating, pulse was also low and his wife was sitting right next to him. At this point I want to give adrenaline jiki jiki the drip the patient has is not working. I honestly wanted to cry.

Did my last call as a Comm Serve yesterday and I only have 2 days left to wrap it up. I’m really anxious about the next chapter. One of the most monumental things my dad ever said to me was that I’ll never fail because he has released all blessings to me and I carry that with me.
