@DavidsonJess22 @the_tattooedjew @AAPD The report I heard wasn't a direct quote. It was more like the journalist summarizing what they believed was surprise from the community. As individuals, I hope we don't stop being surprised by such cruelty.

@AdamMGrant It has to be a topic that is debatable though....not all are. There aren't "two sides" to science, for example. You can't debate the value of a human being based on their race, gender, disability, etc. A better opening line won't fix that.

Moments after taking office on January 14, 2019, @GovMikeDeWine signed executive order 2019-03D, establishing Ohio as a Disability Inclusion State and Model Employer of Individuals with Disabilities. This order requires all state agencies to increase recruitment, hiring, and advancement of people with disabilities, ensuring Ohio is an inclusive and welcoming place where everyone – including individuals with disabilities – can join in and make a difference in their lives and communities. @PolisciMonica It's the enmeshment in identities I think that bothers me. And also the disrespect that is usually associated with treatment of disabled adults-talking over, for, etc. Plus it kinda bugs me from a practical sense. I know autistic moms. They are moms+have autism.
