What’s interesting is they think doctors who went to medical school outside of the US aren’t competent. First and foremost the acceptance rate of an Indian medical school for a general category student is 2.6 %. Apart from that all international medical graduates have to take USMLEs ( step 1, step 2 and step 3) and not just pass these exams but ace them. We also have do residency for 3 years to be board eligible and take the ABIM and pass it to be board certified. After that fellowship is another 2-3 years depending on the specialty and again take the specialty boards to pass them.
