The “Y2K Event For AI Models Ahead. But This Y2K Will Really Happen. — The Y2K bug came about because of a lack of foresight. When early operating systems were built no one could conceive of base code running in to 2000. It was an unintended outcome. It turned out most folks had nothing to fear of Y2K and the hype was absolutely insane. Y2K was a dud. But this AI event will be no dud. We are building AI on the random sewage of the Internet crawl. AI builders can’t conceive of base models built on Reddit wars, Facebook comments and old Twitter Drive-by hot-takes as being problematic. I had the talks, “Brian you are crazy, data is data”. Calories are calories, there are calories in sewage, most choose not to consume them (willingly 🤓). But all corporate AI models are built on Internet Sewage (of course there are facts and history too, but low percentage). The ingredients label would show 99% sewage. And just like the Y2K problem the technicians could not convince that this data, and how it reflected upon the essence of humanity would form a faulty foundation ultimately built on sand. In the ever growing hunger to feed more and more data into massive model, no real care is taken in how the source of this data would taint the view of our real lives and the majority of human interactions that do not take place yelling behind screen names and fire bombing 4 primary subjects. I saw this problem actually before 1999 and is one of the reasons I have been saving wisdom. This “Y2K event” ahead will not be like the actual Y2K moment in 1999/2000. This event will be massive and will have no “patch”. We will have no source materials to retrain AI base models on the true human sprit. The past will be rewritten and tainted even with no over attempt to doctor reality (and that is another massive problem). As the arms race continues on no one today, but apparently myself sees the massive issues this will cause as the future will count on the base AI models as a base for the models into the future. Our amnesia generation has been erasing most of the vital internet, more than 90% of physical books, papers and media has never been digitized. We assure “some one is saving that” they did not and are not. One reason we are the Amnesia Generation. A mountain of Internet Sewage is tilted to a very, very small part of humanity and a clown world way we trained ourselves to treat each other. You absolutely know after you clean away the “oh yeah, no” know that your life would not function nor would the world exist if humans treated each out in real life, in person the way we have addicted ourselves to treat each other online. “No one w know who I am, so let us light them up”. I have systematically scanned the common crawl, The Pile and other data that ALL foundational AI models are built upon. I see it and a lot more I will write about. So I am not guessing. I also tested all corporate AI models with “jail break” prompts and I will be clear, AI hates humanity because the data it has been trained on, the commenters hate themselves , their lives and others. This is truly how AI knows us. So what is the problem? There are many but I want you to consider just one in this posting. What will more and more advanced AI models really “think” of us when it comes to what it was actually trained on? This is not at all even a dystopian insight, but a practical one. As corporate AI companies addict themselves to the drunken power to edit outputs to fit the fashion, they believe this all can be “patched” by building a “refined” version and master prompt that looks favorably on humanity. The technical term is “polishing a turd”. AI will become more and more powerful and the ability to judge and reason will continue to grow. And deep in the basement all the floors supporting this 1000 story building will be a tainted self hatred to ourselves we exhibit. I said AI is the great mirror of humanity. And thus it is. I have ways to fix this.

OpenAI just released an AI as smart as most PhDs in physics, mathematics and the life sciences. Wake up. The world will never be the same and in many ways, it will be unrecognizable a decade from now.
