The visit to Masjid An-Nabawi (the Mosque of the Prophet ﷺ) and paying salutation where Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is buried is a virtue that makes the pilgrimage complete whether done before or after Umrah / Hajj in Makkah. In a Hadith the Prophet ﷺ stated that the person who performs Hajj / Umrah pilgrimage then visits his grave is like he who visited me during my lifetime. In another Hadith the Prophet ﷺ also stated the virtue of whoever performs Hajj / Umrah in Makkah, then travels to Madinah with the sole aim of visiting him in his Masjid being equivalent to the reward of two accepted Hajj. The grave of the Prophet ﷺ is located inside his house (the Sacred Chamber) that was previously adjacent to his mosque but now part of the mosque precincts following expansion over the years, and it is marked by the iconic green dome that was built directly above it in …. The Sacred Chamber has a gold and green metallic enclosure surrounding it, and the grave of the Prophet ﷺ is directly countenanced behind the biggest hole marking the position of his grave while next are those of his two companions Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Umar ibn al-Khattab. Thousands upon thousands of Muslim pilgrims from world over visit the Prophet ﷺ daily, where there is a greatest unmatched sense of spirituality evoked from the presence of thr Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in remembrance of Allah SWT ﷻ Alhamdulillah. Evening out &about in the Holy City of Medina [Madinah Al-Munawwarah] after Isha last night with my esteemed doctor colleagues who are on Ziarah and Umrah: Dr Ahmed Twahir Nephrologist / Physician from Nairobi (Parklands Kidney Center), Dr Rishad Soshi Nephrologist / Physician from Mombasa(Dr Rishad & Co.), and Dr Gaman Ali Mohamed Diabetologist from Nairobi (Comprehensive Diabetes Centre). My two nephrologists mentors, who introduced me to the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and encouraged me in nephropathology, had skipped attending World Congress of Nephrologists (WCN) in New Delhi India due to scheduling clash with their regular Umrah in Shaaban lunar calendar - and as fate might have it I ended up also missing WCN only to link up with them in Madinah - Masha’Allah. Taqabbal’Allahumma minna wa minhum 🤲🏾

Primary HPV Test is the recommended method for screening as per MOH/WHO and all current guidelines being better than Pap Smear

Muslims world over pray at least 5 times daily facing the Qibla which is the direction of the Kaaba 🕋 located inside Masjid Al-Haram (the Holiest Grand Mosque) in the Holy City of Mecca (Makkah-al-Mukarramah). It’s a great blessings to visit/revisit this holiest of places whether for Umrah (short / minor pilgrimage) or Hajj (major annual pilgrimage). Masha’Allah 🤲🏾 The Saudi transit visa of up to 96 hours for those traveling via Saudi Airlines has made it very much simpler, easier, cheaper and basically instant to apply and get an Umrah visa for thosel transiting through the Kingdom ✈️ Alhamdulillah 🤲🏾 Praying that Allah SWT grants the opportunity to visit / revisit the Baytullah (Arabic: بَيْت ٱللَّٰه translated as ‘House of God') which is the center of Islam being the first house of worship originally built by Prophet Ibrahim AS. Disappointedly I missed attending #WCN2025 in Delhi where I was to present today (Thursday morning) at the #ISNWCN Renal Pathology Course as an invited speaker and join my colleagues in the Renal Pathology Working Group where I was to be inducted as vice-chair 😔 Sadly I couldn’t travel yesterday as scheduled from Dubai to Delhi due to a visa application hitch by a scam online ETA agency that I found out too late after 10 days of delay in the processing of my visa. Without the visa coming through despite frantic efforts yesterday, I had to cancel my flights and hotel bookings in Delhi 😢 Eventually booked a new flight to Nairobi last night, traveling from DXB working my digital pathology at the airport and traveling home via Jeddah transit.
