76th birthday so we got him a 1957 John Deere 720 Diesel, just like the one he learned to drive when he was 10 years old. It’s been a dream of his to have one of these again. I think he felt 10 again driving it. Happy Birthday Dad, we love you!

Well the green machine isn’t new anymore. Did a full hopper test in barley. Full hopper has 575bu weighed and took 100 seconds to unload. Barley still testing 23%

We got going yesterday putting some juice down. Guys are sure liking the Command Drive on the new R4060 sprayers. Engine only revs 1400-1600 at 13-15mph. So the lower rpm and no hydro cable into the cab makes a very quiet ride now!

Doing some canola on a bit of a cool, tough day today and threatening to rain. Can see the excellent smooth feeding of the convio head and how the pro chop on the Lexion can easily spread 40’ set at 60% spread width.

If you’re building larger new flat bottom bins add side draws, you won’t regret it. Can unload about 2/3 of bin without running the bin auger.

This grain quality camera in the clean grain elevator is pretty cool. Amazing how clear it is. It outlines cracked grain in pink and chaff in green. Barley has some green it and testing 18-20%. Most the green “cures” in the bin after couple days, then goes through the dryer.
