The homicide rate was already trending down before Australia implemented strict gun laws in 1996. From the 1970s until 1996 there was a 50% decrease in the homicide rate in Australia. Furthermore, massacres haven’t magically stopped in Australia. There are still mass murders via arson, stabbings, and car attacks. Like in 2017 when 6 people were murdered and 27 more were injured by a car. Or in 2024 when 6 people were murdered and 12 more injured via stabbing. And there are still mass shootings in Australia such as 2019 in Darwin. There’s no strong evidence that taking away guns works. Be less brainwashed.

There’s no evidence that taking away law abiding citizens guns will reduce homicides. If people actually cared about preventing school shootings they would have armed security and/or trained teachers concealed carrying. Instead, schools are “gun free zones” which make them an easy target because a bad person knows they won’t be stopped.
