There were unconfirmed reports yesterday that Irv Gotti had died. It’s now been confirmed that the legendary producer of acts like DMX, Ashanti and Ja Rule passed yesterday. What a career he had. My deepest condolences to his family. RIP brother!!🙏🏾🕊️

I was brokenhearted 💔 to learn last night that my dear friend and legendary Detroit Radio & TV journalist, Al Allen, passed. I worked with him 50 years ago at WJLB radio in Detroit and he was truly one of the nicest people I’ve ever known. RIP my brother. 🙏🏾🕊️
Al Allen was a legendary reporter, coworker, and friend. We will miss him dearly.

It is with heartfelt sadness that I want to share that my dear mother, Kultida Woods, passed away early this morning. My Mom was a force of nature all her own, her spirit was simply undeniable. She was quick with the needle and a laugh. She was my biggest fan, greatest supporter, without her none of my personal achievements would have been possible. She was loved by so many, but especially by her two grandchildren, Sam and Charlie. Thank you all for your support, prayers and privacy at this difficult time for me and my family. Love you Mom.

There is now an active rescue operation underway at the Potomac River in Washington D.C. after a passenger plane operated by American Airlines collided midair with a Black Hawk helicopter while trying to land. CBS News' @krisvancleave reports that this is the first commercial airline crash in the United States since a regional flight crashed in Buffalo, New York in 2009. "This was an unparalleled period of aviation safety that appears to have come to an end tonight," Van Cleave said.
